Discover an extraordinary viewpoint over the city: a unique museum, located in a neo-Gothic castle, which allows you to enter the house of Captain Enrico Alberto d'Albertis.
This fascinating museum-dwelling,
donated to the city in 1932, invites you to explore the world of the Captain, adventurer between '800 and '900, enclosed in a romantic setting full of "rooms of wonders", marine suggestions, Colombian evocations and colonial trophies.
Immerse yourself in the museum’s collections,
set up in environments that reflect the taste of "revival" and enriched by ethnographic and archaeological materials collected on five continents by the Captain himself and his cousin Luigi Maria, the first explorer of the Fly River in New Guinea (1872-1878)./p>
The adventure continues with the entrance to the sixteenth-century bastion, which opens to a new exhibition with pre-Columbian archaeological finds of Central and South America and ethnographic materials of Canada, donated by the American Catholic Missions in 1892. This extraordinary designer exhibition dialogues with the cultures of origin, offering an immersive and engaging experience.
