During the Genoa International Boat Show (September 22-27), the most important fair in the nautical sector, the city of goes into a frenzy and lives to a different rhythm as tens of thousands of visitors converge here to admire the latest developments in the sector. The Bristol Palace is a home from home for them. A historic symbol of hospitality in the city, the hotel is preparing to welcome them and pamper them during their stay.
Music and style: “Genova Blues” with Francesco Baccini
Singer Francesco Baccini is the star of a gala evening hosted by the Bristol Palace on September 27, the day the Boat Show ends. “We’re very happy to take part with this initiative in the most important fair of the year,” says Bristol Palace manager Giovanni Ferrando. “With the Doria 1905 brand we have created an event that will be an original blend of music, words and style.”
The singer-songwriter appeared in an intimiste guise – solo vocals and piano – to pay a poetic tribute to Genoa. In an evocative conversation with Renato Tortarolo of Il Secolo XIX, the local daily, he told about his rapport with his native city.
The concert will be accompanied by a Doria 1905 hat exhibition in which the historical brand will present a selection of headgear inspired by all the tones and textures of the sea. The evening will come to an end with a toast with the sparkling wines of Bellavista, one of the hotel’s partners. The concert, “Genova Blues”, is just the first stage in a longer journey, the "Musical Hat Tour”, a series of concerts featuring Doria 1905 hats that will take in Verona, Florence and Bologna, hence all the feathers in the Duetorrihotels group’s cap.
