Historic hotel
in the centre of Genoa
Located in the centre of Genoa, the Bristol Palace is a five-star hotel which combines historic charm and contemporary comfort, offering an exclusive stay a short walk from the Palazzo Ducale, the Teatro Carlo Felice theatre and the Porto Antico.
Despite the historic nature of the palazzo, the hotel guarantees modern levels of comfort: the 133 rooms and suites – elegant, climate controlled and soundproofed, furnished in fin de siècle style – offer a refined and discreet atmosphere, enhanced by high-speed Wi‑Fi, satellite TV and other services designed to offer the maximum levels of comfort.
The jewel in the crown of the culinary offering is the Giotto restaurant, an extremely elegant location ideal for dinners, work lunches and special occasions. The hotel also has spaces for meetings, banquets and events, able to handle up to 250 people.
The offering is rounded off by a private parking garage with valet, and by the attentive and discreet service, in keeping with the highest standards of hospitality.
Dominated by the famous white marble elliptical staircase, an authentic icon of Italian Liberty style, the Bristol Palace stands out as one of the city's most representative locales, ideal for leisure and business trips, as well as events and entertaining.
Welcome
The Bristol Palace is an elegant five-star hotel located in the heart of Genoa, a short walk from the Palazzo Ducale, Teatro Carlo Felice theatre, and the city’s most important historic palazzi and museums. Thanks to its strategic position, it represents the ideal starting point for reaching the old harbour, or Porto Antico, where the congress centre, the Genoa Aquarium, the Galata Maritime Museum and the Città dei Bambini (City of Children and Young People) are located. Following an attentive restoration, the hotel has retained its elegance and exclusivity, integrating them with a contemporary vision of services, designed to satisfy the needs of an international clientèle.
The property boasts 133 rooms and suites, as well as event spaces dedicated to conventions, banquets, meetings and other events, with capacities of up to 250. Rounding off the offering is high-speed Wi-Fi, a selection of Sky TV channels, and a private parking garage with guard and valet. A distinctive element of the hotel is the famous elliptical white marble staircase, with Liberty (art nouveau) style balustrade, which climbs to the upper floors in a spectacular spiral, creating an incredible visual impact. A benchmark in the Genoese hospitality landscape, it is ideal for leisure and business stays, as well as events and entertaining.

history
Inaugurated in 1905 in an elegant building on Via XX Settembre in Liberty style (Italy’s art nouveau), the Bristol Palace is one of the historic symbols of Genoese hospitality.
Frequented by high society and illustrious international personalities since the Belle Époque, it has retained its prestige through significant moments of history.
Restored with the goal of maintaining and enhancing its Liberty and Art Deco identity, it retains original spaces and its famous elliptical marble staircase, permanently associated with Alfred Hitchcock's cinematographic imagery.
Today, it continues to represent an icon of elegance and history in the heart of Genoa.
Culture and style
In the heart of Genoa, the Hotel Bristol Palace encompasses over a century of Italian history and hospitality.
The Liberty and Art Deco style spaces bring back the atmosphere of the Belle Époque, with historic salons, marble and frescoes which define a distinctive architectural identity.
A short walk from Palazzi dei Rolli and Piazza De Ferrari, the hotel is an integral part of the city's cultural fabric, offering an experience which combines Ligurian tradition and contemporary elegance. A place where historic memory and modern-day vision live together in natural equilibrium.
120 years of excellence
“Hotel Bristol Palace ***** – Un Secolo e Venti. Storie e personaggi nella memoria di Genova” (Hotel Bristol Palace ***** – One hundred and twenty years. History and characters in Genoa's memory”) is a volume dedicated to the history, character and cultural heritage of the Hotel Bristol Palace, one of the most representative settings for Genoese hospitality.
Edited by Edoardo Meoli, the book collects episodes and protagonists who, through different perspectives, help delineate the role of the hotel as a symbolic location in the city.
