Pesto in Genoa Prà

The undisputed symbol of Genoese cuisine, our famous Prà basil which has been growing since 1827 in the “Serre sul Mare”, in the firm Bruzzone and Ferrari, is an Italian excellence awaiting discovery and full-fledged recognition. The microclimatic conditions and ancient peasant knowledge give the basil that grows here organoleptic characteristics that are unique worldwide.

The proposed tour will take you inside the “Il Pesto di Prà – Serre sul Mare” company, first discovering the production of basil from sowing to harvesting, then assisting to a demonstration of pesto-making in the mortar according to the traditional Ligurian recipe, and last the experience will culminate in a tasting of typical Genoese food and wine products.

The duration of the tour is approximately two hours. It can be carried out on request on Thursday morning or afternoon, Friday morning or afternoon, or Saturday morning for a minimum of 4 people. In the case of smaller numbers, a supplement of 50 euros is required for each person missing to arrive at the minimum number.

Rates for two nights, price per person.

Children from 0 to 3 years old are free guests.

Possibility to book additional nights at the best available rate.

Transfer from the Hotel to Langhe and back is not included in the package price. Transfer is available on request in Mercedes with private driver starting from 690 euros, round trip.

Rates are inclusive of service and 10% VAT. City tax (5 euros per person per night) is not included.

The tour is available both in Italian and English. Other languages are available on request.

Unused services will not be refunded.

Cancellation policy: up to 3 days prior to arrival it is possible to cancel the booking with no charge. In case of late cancellations or no-shows, a penalty equal to the rate of the entire package will be charged.
