The city will host on March 23rd the launch of the new flagship of MSC Cruises, MSC Preziosa. Godmother of the event will be Sophia Loren. It will be a big show with the participation of international personalities, including a gala dinner on board, a ship’s officers parade, the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony and a rich program of event taking place in the whole city and organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa.
In the event will also take part UNICEF that is carrying out a project together with MSC Cruises in support of the children living in Rio de Janeiro’s and São Paolo’s favelas.
During the ceremony, in the beautiful framework of the Porto Antico, there will be a free show, open to the public and directly connected to Ponte dei Mille. The show will be presented by the two famous Italian comic actors Ale & Franz.
The weekend before the launch (March 15th -16th ) a Social Game will take place at De Ferrari Square. Different prizes will be up for grabs.
