In May the Acquario di Genova will present the new Cetacean Pavilion, a project by Renzo Piano Workshop, that could host up to 9 animals in 4 different tanks.
It will offer the opportunity to visitors to see the animals from two different perspectives: from high above and underwater, looking at them swimming through a glass tunnel.
The new Pavilion will be placed between the main structure of the Acquarium and the big Nave Blu (blue ship). The visitors coming from the Acquarium will go into the new Pavilion and they will see the Main pool from high above.
Thanks to a 24 meters long glass wall they could also listen to the animals sounds. Than the visitors will enter in the Nave Blu (Blue Ship) that will open to the public after the restoration works
A glass tunnel will lead the visitors back to the new Pavilion offering them a suggestive underwater view.
